“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates.”
~ William Arthur WardEmpowering Early Literacy through Progression in PhonicsConcluded on Saturday the 1st of January, 2011
Almost all modern educationists agree that a child’s systematic development in phonics (sounds of the letters) enables him to read and write surprisingly earlier than conventional methods. Unfortunately, most of the schools in Pakistan have been practicing inappropriate methodologies for early childhood literacy, which are far slower and because of being developmentally out of place, they lead many children to a future hostility towards reading that can last for years. Therefore, this workshop has been especially organized to equip early childhood teachers, caregivers and parents with authentic phonetic system to make early reading and writing possible through enjoyable phonetic experiences.
