The course is concerned with the “managerial skills” of teachers in the classroom irrespective of what subject they teach. It aims to help teachers deal more efficiently with classroom dynamics in an effort to maximize learning and minimize stress and disruption thus fostering a more congenial atmosphere for both, students and teachers. This in turn leads to the teacher developing a more positive image of herself and developing a meaningful self concept and feeling of self worth.

    Course Contents:
  • Understanding the concept of Climate Change
  • Gauge the climate in your classroom
  • Climate Change Tools: communication, motivation and interpersonal skills
  • Student Diversity – Difficult versus different handling of students
  • Maximizing Learning : The Power of Multiple Intelligence and Differentiated Instruction
  • My Action Plan
    At the end of the workshop the participants will have :
  • Contributed to the concept of going from good to better….
  • Practised techniques for climate change in the classroom
  • Identified the meaningful change they would like to bring about in their classroom
  • Prepared an outline of the climate change action plan they wish to pursue.

Workshop Facilitator

Ms. Rehmat Ebrahim is a teacher and a teacher trainer of repute. She holds a Masters in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (MA TEFL) and an MA in General History. She has been teaching and training for the last 20 years and has achieved a level of prominence that is clearly acknowledged. Throughout her career she has continued to enhance her potential and her skills by regularly attending workshops and seminars/conferences in teaching, training and in organizational “people” skills. In other words, she has progressed from being a classroom educator to become a trainer of trainers.

Aside from classroom teaching at the secondary and tertiary levels, Ms. Ebrahim has conducted a number of training sessions for organizations and enterprises in Pakistan. The large numbers of professionals who have trained under her include teachers and doctors from all over Pakistan, business and commerce professionals, manufacturing staff and members of the hospitality industry. Her main areas of interest are English enrichment, effective communication and other soft skills.

Ms. Ebrahim is a seasoned trainer, she is skillful and creative, and participants generally leave her sessions well-satisfied and highly pleased.
