Why do we make writing so difficult?Concluded on Saturday the 30th of April, 2011

Writing in English is often the least favorite communication skill among not only students, but teachers of English as well. We will explore ways to make the writing process not only more effective but more enjoyable. By engaging students in activities that are creative, we can help guide them in bringing words to life.

This workshop will be interactive and experiential, with teachers able to share their own experiences with each other.

The Presenter

Gretchen Coppedge has been involved in English language teacher training for more than 15 years, most recently in Nepal, working with Nepal English Language Teachers’ Assoc. (NELTA) and Kathmandu University. She has taught in the luxury of Dubai as well as having lived and taught in a refugee camp in Thailand where the school had a dirt floor and bamboo slat walls. The physical environment may be different from place to place, but the dedication of the teachers is a binding inspiration.
