Folk Tales/Storytelling: Past and Present aims to revive the tradition of storytelling through digital tools and connect students from different parts of the world on the project forum to share their stories, experiences and aspirations.

The presenter will share how this project can be used as an online collaborative project to enhance students’ language proficiency and engage them in meaningful language learning activities in which they communicate with real audience.

The Presenter

M. Saleem Ibrahim is associated with Society for International Education as Manager Programs and Operations. He has worked with teachers and students on different iEARN projects including language arts, community service, environment and media literacy projects including English Access Microscholarship Program Karachi. He has conducted workshops and trainings for teachers and students and has facilitated them to participate in iEARN online collaborative projects. He has been a co-facilitator for iEARN Folk Tales project since 2007. He has presented at national and international conferences including iEARN International Conferences in the Netherlands, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Lebanon and the United States.
